Port Vale and Richard Duffy collected their fourth clean sheet of the season in an impressive 3-0 win at home to Doncaster Rovers.
Rob Page’s side dominated the game from beginning to end, and even had the leisure of missing a penalty in the first half.
But their pressure finally paid off when Sam Foley guided a header past the goalkeeper, who was doing more than his fair share of work.
Uche Ikpeazu flew out the blocks in the second half scoring within minutes of the restart, and Byron Moore cemented the Valiants’ win with only minutes left on the clock.
Following the match, Duffy spoke exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD as he reflected on the side’s performance and another clean sheet.
“Yeah, that’s three [clean sheets] in four now, we’re doing something right," he said
"But it’s not just the back four, it’s the whole eleven, you’ve all got to put the work in from front to back, and its working at the minute.”
