Full Back Reacts To U's Defeat & Looks Ahead To Rochdale Clash
says it’s important everyone sticks together as Port Vale look to end their recent run of form. Adam YatesDefender
The Valiants have lost their last five games, despite performing well and deserving at least a point in the majority of those matches.
Rob Page’s men now face an Easter Monday trip to Rochdale to take on Keith Hill’s play-off chasers at Spotland Stadium.
Speaking to Valiant Player after Friday’s loss to Colchester United, Yates emphasised the importance of the togetherness at the club at times like this.
“I remember we played them earlier on in the season and won.
I think they’ve lost today but Rochdale are on a good run themselves and they’ll be hoping to get into the play-offs and consolidate themselves in there and we’re going to have to go there and be strong and resilient and stick together.
“We need characters at this point. I’m sure we have enough in the dressing room but we’ve got to all pull together.”
