Rob Page Frustrated With Draw Against Scunthorpe United

Vale Boss Reflects On Draw With The Iron

Port Vale interim boss Rob Page was frustrated following his side’s 2-2 draw with Scunthorpe United.

Goals from Ben Williamson and Chris Birchall had seen the Valiants come from behind to lead in the second half after Neal Bishop’s early opener.

But a Lyle Taylor strike ensured the spoils were shared at Vale Park, despite the away side going down to ten men due to Jennison Myrie-Williams being sent off.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player following the game, Page expressed his disappointment at Vale’s defending for the visitors' second goal.

“What disappoints me is it’s one long ball to the front man, we give a free kick away, allow them to put a ball in the box and we can’t do it,” he said.

“We’ve got to keep the ball and play in their half.”
