Vale Midfielder Pre-Scunthorpe
Michael O’Connor is enjoying his partnership with Chris Lines in the centre of Port Vale’s midfield.
The duo have started alongside one another in each of the Valiants’ last seven league games and played pivotal roles in the home wins over Barnsley and Yeovil Town.
They have a combined total of four goals so far this season and have been heavily involved in the build-up of many more for the likes of Tom Pope, Ben Williamson and Mark Marshall.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player as Vale prepare to host Scunthorpe United, O’Connor admitted that he and Lines have an excellent understanding on the pitch.
“It’s good, we complement each other, we’re both technically good,” the 27-year-old commented.
“There are still things we both need to work on but in the last couple of games, especially at home, we’ve started to learn what each other can do and working off each other and it’s working.”
