Winger On Win Over Yeovil
Port Vale winger Mark Marshall hopes Saturday’s 4-1 win over Yeovil Town will send a message to the rest of League One.
The 27-year-old was instrumental in the Valiants' victory over Gary Johnson’s side as goals from Chris Lines, Colin Daniel and a Tom Pope brace sealed three vital points.
Operating from out wide, Marshall was a thorn in the side of the Glovers throughout the match and had a hand in at least two of Vale’s goals.
Speaking to Valiant Player after the game, the midfielder expressed his delight at the result, saying: “Hopefully it sends out a message to all the people in and around us that we can score goals.”
“Obviously conceding a late goal was a bit disappointing but it was only one and we hope to build on that.”
