Three Arrested And Charged Following Chesterfield Incident
Port Vale Football Club are pleased to learn that three people have now been arrested and charged with racially aggravated public order offences following the Chesterfield game.
We are continuing our work with Staffordshire Police, the FA and - in particular - Kick It Out to bring this incident to a satisfactory conclusion.
The club’s senior safety advisor Phil Mayer said: “Mindless behaviour like this has no place in football or in the society we live in and it is important to reiterate that this particular incident did involve only three supporters.
“Their behaviour should not be allowed to impact on the good name of the overwhelming majority of Port Vale fans who attend games, home and away, without incident.”
If any supporters wish to report discriminatory abuse of any nature please email phil.mayer@port-vale.co.uk or phone or text 07519 664079.
Any information offered will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
