Frederic Veseli joins Port Vale on loan from Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town’s 21-year-old defender Frederic Veseli has joined Vale on loan until 4th January 2015, subject to all of the relevant paperwork being in order.
A Swiss Under 17 international, Freddie started his career in England with Manchester City before moving to their rivals Manchester United.
After being released by United he moved to Ipswich but has only made one first team appearance for the Suffolk outfit. He spent last season on loan with Bury, where he made 18 appearances.
In 2009 Veseli reached the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under 17s Championship held in Germany and also played in the FIFA Under 17 World Cup, which was held in Nigeria, playing in six matches and eventually winning the competition as captain.
Despite having Swiss citizenship, Veseli declared to the media that he would welcome a call-up from Albania, given his Albanian ethnicity.
