Crawley come to Vale park in form
Rob Page says everyone is raring to go again when the lads take on Crawley Town at Vale park this evening – kick off 7.45pm.
Vale are expecting a tough game tonight against a Crawley side who have had a couple of good results away from home recently, but the onus will be on the home side to produce the goods.
The Vale coach says: “It’s good that we haven’t got a week to wait for another game after a defeat and they come thick and fast for us now and we can go and put it right with a performance tonight.
“We are at home and we have got to make that count for us. We want the punters through the door because we need their support as well.
“I know it is a cliché but they can be an extra man for us and it gives the ads a lift. We can all push in the right direction and hopefully follow it up with a win.
“We are expecting a tough test against John Gregory’s side. It is lovely to see him coming back into football,
“He has been a fantastic manager with a vast amount of experience working in the Premiership and it is great to see people like him back in the game.
“We know we are going to be in for a very difficult test, they have drawn their last two games two-all so we know they can score goals.
minute I think.th“They are conceding as well but by all accounts against Rotherham at the weekend they didn’t deserve to draw the game, they deserved to win it – Rotherham equalised in the 96
“We are not going to underestimate them. We are going to treat them with the respect they deserve and we know we are in for a tough test.
“Rob Taylor felt his hamstring on Saturday and is a little bit of a doubt, but we have got other people like Daniel Jones, who has just done a full day’s training with us, which is great to see.”
