Latest from the treatment room
After the bad news regarding Florent Cuvelier, there is some good news on the injury front with several players slowly improving and Gavin Tomlin was back in training this morning.
Tomlin got through a training session today and if there is no reaction he may be okay for Thursday or Friday and could be knocking on the door for a place in the squad against Brighton on Saturday
Both Daniel Jones and Rob Taylor have made really good progress and they too could well be ready to join in training sessions by Thursday or Friday, although Saturday is perhaps a bit too soon for them to return to action.
Richard Duffy was stretchered off during our FA Cup third round tie against Plymouth Argyle here at Vale Park recently and is expected to be out for a total of six to eight weeks.
He and Liam Chilvers, who picked up a groin strain recently, will each receive sugar injections, with the latter expected to be the first back, though they are obviously both ruled out for this week.
