Myrie-Williams says Vale will come back

Winger says the players are determined to work it out

Jennison Myrie-Williams says Micky Adams will be doing all he can to make sure there is no repeat of Saturday’s performance against Crewe and says the players must take the blame.

Training session have already been made more difficult as the manager attempts to right a few wrongs and Myrie-Williams is sure it will produce the right response.

He said: “It was one of those games where the players must take most of the responsibility, if not all of it, for the result and we have done that in training, we have worked our socks off.

“”We wanted the bragging rights for our supporters, but it just wasn’t meant to be and we could have done a lot more things right than we did on Saturday, but hopefully we will work hard this week and try and put things right.

“I don’t think anybody can put their finger on what went wrong because to be fair, in the last few weeks we haven’t really been at our best.

“One thing is for sure, the only way to get over something like that is to get out on the training ground and work hard and keep going really.

“Aside from Saturday, defence-wise we have been strong and we have been tight at the back, whilst not getting the goals at the other end.

“But I think Saturday showed that we have got a lot of things to work on. Everyone went away and looked at themselves and came back in being honest and willing to talk about it.

“One thing is for sure, the manager won’t shy away from things, he will do whatever he feels is best for the team.”
