Achille Campion Makes Port Vale Switch Permanent

French Striker Secures Deal At Vale Park

Achille Campion has signed a permanent deal with Port Vale that will keep him at the club until the end of next season.

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on an 18-month contract, which starts on Friday 2 January, to complete his switch from Swedish side Norrby IF for an undisclosed fee.

Having been in prolific goal-scoring form for the club’s reserves, including a brace against Stoke City, Campion was handed his first team debut by manager Rob Page as a substitute in the draw at Gillingham last month.

The striker again came off the bench in Vale’s loss to Swindon Town last weekend.

The club are hopeful that Campion's permanent international clearance will come through in time for him to play against Gillingham on Saturday

On the signing of the French forward, Vale boss Rob Page said: “Campion has been on loan and has showed that he has an eye for goal in the reserve games that he has played.

"The plan now is to develop him into an asset for Port Vale Football Club."
