Memory of game has been erased

After the cup exertions it seems a long time since we played a league game. It may only be a fortnight, but I have erased the memory of the Swindon game so it does seem longer.

Tomorrow it is a rare occasion that we play Shrewsbury at the Burslem Bernabeau at 3 o’clock on a Saturday, in recent years it has either been a night match or an early kick off. It is a local derby of sorts, them being only 30 odd miles down the road and so it should be a good atmosphere. If we get at them and stretch the play a bit I’m sure we will have too much for them. Hope so anyway!

Overall things are shaping up half decent, midway in the league table at this stage of the season is no bad thing. We are bound to lose more games than we did last season, but if we win roughly the same number then there is no need to panic.

Now that we are loaning a few players out, Kaid Mohamed to Wimbledon being the latest, plus at one stage or another four of the younger professionals have also been on their travels, it may even mean there is a bit of scope for a new face or two in January. It worked last season – let’s see what happens this time.
