LAST VISIT THERE:

The last time we were at Prenton Park was of course the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match in August 2011 which saw the tragic injury which ultimately ended the career of Lewis Haldane.

The last time we played there in the league was for a League One fixture on a Thursday night in March 2008, but it was not a happy hunting ground that night either as Vale were beaten 2-0 in front of a 6,484 crowd.

Chris Greenacre put the home side in the driving seat after 68 minutes when he beat Joe Anyon from the penalty spot and Ian Thomas-Moore made sure of the three points two minutes from time.
