Morsy refuses contract
Port Vale can reveal that Sam Morsy has turned down a new deal with the club.
The midfielder was offered terms for a new improved two-year contract at the end of last season, but has opted against signing this.
However, as Morsy is under 24, any club he signs for will have to agree a compensation package with Port Vale.
Liam Chilvers has agreed terms for a new contract, which he will sign ahead of the players returning to pre- season training.
Manager Micky Adams continues to negotiate with captain Doug Loft, who was also offered a new deal at the end of the campaign.
