Club confirms talks with striker

Port Vale can confirm that the club is in discussions to sign striker Lee Hughes.

The forward will have a medical tomorrow, with a view to joining Micky Adams’ squad.

Hughes, who has been a prolific scorer at all levels of the professional game, is now a free agent after terminating his contract at Notts County this afternoon.
