Vale agree a deal with the National Football Centre at St George's Park
"Having visited the facility last week, I have been very impressed with what they have to offer and hopefully that will benefit Micky and the playing squad."
Chairman Paul Wildes added: "I think most Football League clubs have been hit by the bad weather in recent weeks so we welcome this longer-term arrangement with St George's Park.
"This is not a full-time arrangement, but it does give us another option when the weather is bad and or we are unable to train on our own pitches. It also enables us to utilise top training facilities, which is welcome when we don't have our own training ground."
Port Vale manager, Micky Adams, said: "We welcome this opportunity to use St George's Park, which is arguably the best training facility in the country.
The club has confirmed it has the option to use the facilities several times over the next few weeks, with Vale also agreeing a deal to use the Burton-on-Trent location during pre-season, once a week from the start of the next campaign and on a more regular basis from November 2013 to March 2014.
The squad has trained at the showpiece venue on a number of occasions and have now come to an arrangement to use the pitches on other dates.
Port Vale has agreed a deal with the National Football Centre at St George's Park to use the facilities on a more regular basis.
St. George's Park Managing Director, Julie Harrington, said: "I'm delighted to hear Port Vale will be using our facilities on a more regular basis.
“We've been lucky enough to fight off the snow and our under soil pitches have stood up to some adverse weather conditions already in recent weeks, thanks to the excellent work of our grounds men.
“This of course allows us to be really accessible to clubs when they can't train on their own pitches.
“I look forward to welcoming Port Vale back here to train at St. George's Park in the near future."
