Defender says a clean sheet is the aim every game
Liam Chilvers says he and his team mates won’t be setting any targets when it comes to clean sheets for the rest of the season. He says that is their aim in each and every game.
The defender said: “There is nothing we have said in terms of how many clean sheets we are going for, but we go out in every game looking to achieve that and we are just looking for as many as we can get.
“It’s a stupid thing to say, but if you don’t concede then you don’t lose games and that is the mind-set we have got to go out there with.
“We have got players who aren’t playing at the moment who could come in and do a job for us and that is an important thing to have in a team because it puts pressure on the players who are in there, knowing that if they are not doing their jobs properly then somebody else is going to step in.
“There’s a bit of competition there and it keeps everybody on their toes and I think it is going to help the team in the long run to get promotion.”
