The Pilgrim’s Journey: Why The FA should be considerate.

The Pilgrim’s Journey: Why The FA should be considerate.

Plymouth Argyle, known as The Pilgrim’s, frequently live up to their name every week when, despite being tucked away deep down in the West Country, they take a sizeable following away to most clubs. However it would be ridiculous to expect any sort of sizeable following to make to the 400 round mile trip to Stoke on a Friday night or Sunday afternoon, a situation as desirable as a pair of goalie gloves made out of Kerry Gold for both clubs, given the financial dividends the FA Cup can bring. With this in mind I would urge The FA to use common sense and move the Stoke match against Leicester to either of the aforementioned days, as the 100 round mile trip will be a lot more palatable for The Foxes gallop up to The Potteries. Added to Leicester’s arguably larger fan base it would be more logical for both clubs to keep The Vale on the Saturday. So to the FA I say this… Be considerate to both The Pilgrims and Vale’s bank manager.
