Birchall thinks highly of Saturday's opponents
Vale will be looking to continue their good away form tomorrow afternoon when they take on MK Dons at the Sadium MK “They are one of the teams in the league hat I really respect because they put the emphasis on passing the ball – they are a bit like Swansea really, they like to get it down and pass and play football the right way.
“They haven’t had the best of starts to the season really, but last weekend they got a great result at Wolves and I am sure they will be full of confidence.
“We will be underdogs, but we have proved in the past we can go away and grind out results and turn the game into a fight if that is the only way we can get the victory.
“I know Darren Potter is a very good player, he has been in the centre of midfield and playing really well.
“If I am on the right hand side – if I even play – then Lewington will be one who is steady, he’s been there a long time.
“They are a good passing team but we have got a great away record so far, the fans always travel with us and make it into a kind of home game.
“We will see what we can do. All we can do is do our best like we did at Walsall and hopefully we will come in on Monday morning with smiles on our faces.”
