Adams confident whoever he plays can do the job

Vale boss Micky Adams has full belief in his squad, providing they give everything they have got and play to their full potential.

He believes the strike force at his disposal, whatever combination he chooses to go with, can do the job and cause other teams big problems.

He said: “I am like a stuck record because I keep repeating myself, but we can’t take our form lightly, we have to approach each and every game in the right manner.

“We are pleased with what we have done so far, we are delighted that we have got through a difficult tie against Salisbury, because they are never easy those sort of games.

“But we are through to the next round of the FA Cup, so that’s something to look forward to in the New Year, but all in all we are in decent shape.

“We are the type of team that looks to score goals and sometimes it works for us and sometimes it doesn’t, but we will need to score more goals if we want to push on.

“The beauty of it is, we have got options and I have got full confidence in all the strikers that we have got at the football club.

“They are all different, they have all got different attributes and they have all contributed this season. Some have played more than others, which is obviously disappointing for some and not others.

“But the competition in forward areas is very, very good and whatever combination we pick I think they will cause problems and score goals.”
