NO SLEEP FOR GREW

NO SLEEP FOR GREW

Assistant boss has now caught up on his sleep

Mark Grew has admitted he had trouble sleeping on Friday night following the game against Burton Albion, but that match was soon forgotten as preparations for Tuesday’s game began.

He said: “As soon as that whistle blew on Friday night, the only thing I was thinking about was Aldershot Town.

We won the game and then we celebrated for about an hour, but the next day we were preparing for the Aldershot game. That’s how quickly we have got to do things.

“I enjoyed it for about an hour, but I must admit I didn’t have a good night’s sleep afterwards on Friday night. You are catnapping and then all of a sudden you wake up thinking, ‘Was that real?’

“I thought I must have dreamt we won seven-one. I’ve had a buzz about me over the weekend and got a few texts through about the match.

“John Rudge texted me and said what a fantastic game of football he saw, and everybody in football who I know has been congratulating us.

“But we can’t celebrate anything yet until we are up there, and at this minute we are not promoted.

“All we are thinking about now is Aldershot Town and then on Wednesday I will be travelling up to watch Rochdale in order to prepare for Saturday’s match.”
