'Jeno' happy to set goals up, but wants a few more for himself
Winger Jennison Myrie-Williams is obviously pleased with the start Vale have made to the season so far, but he is looking to get on the score sheet more often.
“I was disappointed not to score on Monday night against Oxford United. I thought me overall performance was okay, but goals change games and I wanted to score. He said:
“But I am more than happy to assist and if I score or assist then in my eyes I have done part of my job.
“Tom Pope’s goals show well for the rest of the team because for him to get the goals, somebody needs to give him the ball, somebody needs to put it into the right areas and as a team I think we have done that.
“It goes to show, if you give him the right type of supply he is going to score goals and that is what he has done.”
‘Jeno’ knows Saturday’s game against the Chairboys is going to be another difficult game, but he is confident Vale can come out on top.
He says: “We have got to get our heads down and do the things we did the other night on Saturday against Wycombe and then I am sure we can get three points.
“I am expecting another tough game. I think if you go into every game expecting a tough game then you are always on your toes and try to play to the best of your ability.
“I never go into a gem expecting it to be an easy game. I am sure if we do things right, the things that we have been doing well, then we will win the game.
“We expect them to come here and try to stop us playing and try and keep us from scoring for as long as possible.”
