Midfielder issues an apology

Port Vale midfielder Sam Morsy has issued an apology following his sending off against Rochdale .on Tuesday night

Morsy received a straight red card in the fixture, meaning he will now miss three games.

Said Sam: "I appreciate that my red card let everyone down, including the management, my team-mates and the  supporters of the club, as well as myself. 

"I can assure everyone that there was absolutely no malice in the challenge, just a mistimed intent to win the ball in the heat of the moment, which I now know was the wrong decision at the time.  

"This season has been a huge learning curve in my development as a player and I can only apologise that my sending off affected the result last Tuesday. There is no-one more disappointed with that than me."
