Page extecting another hard game
Rob Page says the players have prepared well for this Saturday’s game against Aldershot, but they are well aware that the home side could cause them problems.
He said: “Wednesday was a rest and recovery day, which is vitally important for them, and yesterday they lads had an extended warm up to flush the lactic acid out of their system, then they cracked on with a normal session.
“Our preparation for games doesn’t change, whether we are playing Gillingham or Barnet, from one extreme to the other.
“Our preparation what we do as a team and as a football club will never change, and that is certainly no different for this Saturday.
“They come into the game on the back of a great result in midweek. They have been a bit inconsistent, but knowing Dean as I do, he will be working his upmost to get them back to winning ways.
“Like I said, they come in off the back of a good result on Tuesday and they are going to be full of confidence. We can’t go into any game lightly, certainly not against one of the bottom teams.
“There are no easy games in this league and I know that sounds a bit of a cliché but there are no easy games in this division.
“Teams are beating each other, from top to bottom and we have to prepare like we would any other game.
“Before the game on Tuesday, the manager sat the lads down and reminded them of what has got us there and thankfully they went out and answered him.
“That’s what we are all about. We are about hard work and playing to our strengths. We know how to get wins and to be a successful team.
“We have got to do that against the best teams and the not so good teams. If you are consistent week in, week out, that will definitely get you there.
“It know it sounds clichéd, but if we take one game at a time we will achieve what we want to achieve.”
