NEW SHIRT SPONSOR

NEW SHIRT SPONSOR

UK Windows Systems Ltd sign up until the end of the season

Stoke-on-Trent business UK Windows Systems Ltd has signed a deal with Port Vale to sponsor the club’s home shirts for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

The company, which is based in Sneyd Green, put pen to paper on the deal this week following positive discussions between the two parties.

The white home shirt, complete with the logo, will be worn by the team for this weekend’s home tie against York City, with UK Windows Systems Ltd also match-sponsors for the fixture. The new shirts will be available to buy in the Port Vale superstore from 9.30am on Friday, November 23.

Gary Beech, Director of UK Windows Systems Ltd, said:

“I’ve been a Port Vale supporter since I was a boy so when the opportunity came along to sponsor the shirts, it was a chance too good to pass up.

“As a business, it’s important to give something back to our local football club and I’m delighted that we have been able to show our support in this way, which will offer reciprocal benefits.”

Established in 2003, the company boasts 38 employees. As well as manufacturing PVC-U windows, doors and conservatories, the business also has a large plastics trade counter, ‘The Plastics Depot’, which stocks building materials for trade and the general public. The company has three directors; Richard Barlow, Gary Beech, Darren Larkin.

Commercial consultant John Booth added:

“We thank UK Windows Systems Ltd for their support and welcome them on board as an important partner for the club.

“We had initial discussions with the company when they attended the Corporate Open Day in September, which underlines why events such as that are key in securing opportunities and potential revenue for Port Vale.”

The sponsorship deal with UK Windows Systems is another positive news story for the Valiants, following the kit sponsorship deal with Sondico, the unveiling of preferred bidder Alchemy Investment Group and the club’s excellent league and cup form. The York City fixture will also see the unveiling of the Sproson statue at Vale Park, following ten years of fund-raising by the Supporters’ Club.

Port Vale Financial Consultant, Julian Garforth, added:

“This partnership and sponsorship agreement is another step towards stability for the club, both on and off the field. We believe that this arrangement can benefit both parties and we look forward to working closely together going forward.”
