We are delighted to announce that - following a comprehensive application and interview process – the club’s Supporter Advisory Board for 2024/25 has now been established and will, initially, have 16 members.

After announcing our first-ever Supporter Engagement Plan earlier this year, and in line with the Premier League’s Fan Engagement Standard, the finalised Advisory Board will provide a platform for formal dialogue with supporters, allowing the club to take your insights and opinions to collaboratively shape the future of Port Vale.

The Board will feature representatives from various supporter groups, including Port Vale Supporters Club, North London Valiants and Ale and the Vale Podcast, as well as other members recruited by an independent panel. A huge thanks to Mark Porter (Chair of the Port Vale Supporters Club), Andy Taylor (Chair of Port Vale Foundation Board of Trustees), Joan Walley (former Stoke-on-Trent North MP) and Phil Bowers (BBC Radio Stoke's Port Vale Reporter and Presenter) who led the interview process.

The Board’s independently-recruited members will represent a number of areas, including: Disability, Women & Girls, Family, Minority Groups, and age groups.

The Supporter Advisory Board will be structured as follows:

  • Port Vale Supporters Club
  • Port Vale Foundation
  • Ale and the Vale Podcast
  • North London Valiants
  • Commercial Representative

Independent Members:

  • Paul Dixon
  • Hannah Hiles
  • Ade Cheatham
  • Kerry Walsh
  • Ross Naylor
  • Dom Pender
  • Chris Wardle
  • Peter Tindall
  • Sue Barratt
  • John King

Port Vale Chief Executive, Matt Hancock, said:

“We were absolutely delighted by the volume and quality of applications to join the Advisory Board. What really came across was the enthusiasm and motivation to improve the supporter experience at the club and we’re extremely pleased to have this group of representatives involved.

“The Board will play a vital role in shaping the future of the club, ensuring the voices of our loyal supporters are heard and valued at every level. We’re looking forward to working closely with the group to strengthen the bond between the club and our incredible supporters.”

The group will meet formally for the first time in the new year to establish the Terms of Reference, designate working groups in specific areas and discuss agenda items including the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
