We can confirm that Ruari Paton has joined Dundee United on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
Paton, 24, joined the Valiants on a three-year in the summer from Queen’s Park and has since gone on to score three goals across 24 appearances in all competitions, including a stunning match-winning free kick against Harrogate Town.
Port Vale manager, Darren Moore, said:
“Ruari is a player full of undoubted potential and he will now spend the remainder of the season on loan at Dundee United where he will get vital, regular first team football at a very competitive level.
“He very much remains in our future plans from the summer onwards, but the exposure to regular football will be pivotal for his own development between now and the end of the season.
"We all wish him nothing but the very best and look forward to welcoming him back to Vale Park in a few months’ time.”
