Port Vale partner with Ticketmaster

PVFC x Ticketmaster

Port Vale Football Club is delighted to confirm that Ticketmaster Sport has become our new ticketing partner ahead of the 2024/25 season on a multi season deal.

Ticketmaster is the global leader in sports ticketing and works with several Football League and Premier League clubs on their ticket sales operations and previously worked with the Valiants on our trip to Wembley Stadium in 2022.

Supporters will still be able to purchase tickets in person at our club store and online via a new ticketing website.

Talking about the new partnership, Port Vale’s Head of Commercial, Ritchie Bates said:

“We are delighted to be working with Ticketmaster in what is an exciting step forward for our ticketing offering.

“The innovation Ticketmaster has already shown and their ability to be quick when adapting and troubleshooting is aligned with how we want to operate digitally to ensure supporters have a positive experience when purchasing tickets online.

“Fan experience is important to us and we understand that online ticketing has been a point of concern for our supporters over recent seasons. We have now partnered with the global leader in the sports ticketing industry, who happens to be based right on our doorstep, to alleviate those problems and create a much slicker, easier-to-use platform.

"Ticketmaster’s fan journey is fantastic, supporters who wish to use e-tickets will also be able to add season tickets and match-by-match tickets to their phone’s wallet.”

Does the partnership between Port Vale and Ticketmaster mean fans will have to go to Ticketmaster.co.uk to purchase tickets?

No. Ticketmaster is providing the technology that will power our ticketing platform. Vale fans will be able to go to a dedicated ticketing website to purchase tickets.

Will there be a booking fee on top of my season tickets or match-by-match home tickets?

No, there will not be any booking fees added to any season tickets or match-by-match home tickets.

The club are still in discussions about what this means for our match-by-match away ticketing for next season and beyond.

If I have a problem with my ticket, will I have to contact Ticketmaster’s customer service?

No. Supporters can continue to contact our tickets@port-vale.co.uk should there be any issues or visit our club store.

What changes will I see?

Supporters can expect to see a stronger ticketing platform that is easy to navigate when purchasing tickets.

We will automatically transfer across your priority ticketing points and contact details to our new ticketing platform, however it is in the best interest of each fan to check your details ahead of the first game of the season.

Further information regarding priority ticketing points will be communicated before the start of the 2024/25 season.

What happens to my related contacts with the new ticketing provider?

Related Contacts will not be transferred across to the new ticketing system. Further details on how to relink related contacts on the Ticketmaster platform will be released in due course.

Does the ticketing platform apply to just match tickets?

All tickets and memberships that are sold by the club will be available through the new ticketing service, this includes:

  • Men’s First Team
  • Women’s First Team
  • 1876 Memberships
  • Team Valiant Memberships
  • Stadium / Club Events

Will my bank details still be linked/saved to my account?

Due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), supporters will need to add their card details again to the new ticketing platform.
