Jack Shorrock claims the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month award for November for his volley against Crewe Alexandra live on Sky Sports.

Shorrock, 17, claimed his second professional goal in spectacular fashion when he met Rico Richards' cross and unleashed a left-footed volley from just outside of the penalty area which flew into the top corner of the net.

A product of the Port Vale Academy, the wingback currently holds the record as the youngest-ever player to make a professional appearance for the club at 15 years and 145 days old against Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy before going on to make his league debut against Plymouth Argyle.

The youngster would also go on to earn the accolade as the club's youngest-ever professional goalscorer when he found the net for the first time for the Valiants against Barnsley at 16 years and 242 days old.

Speaking of the award, Jack Shorrock said:

“I am absolutely delighted to win the award, especially so early on in my career. It was one of those goals where as soon as it’s left my boot, I just knew that it had a good chance of going in.

“Being live on Sky too made it just that much more special. As soon as the game finished, I had my friends and family blowing up my phone and sending me videos of the goal from every angle, it was a really special feeling and one that I can hopefully replicate more often than not throughout my career.”
