We can confirm that Women's First Team Manager, Jack Day, has stepped down to become Assistant Manager with Dan Johnson named as his replacement.
Following our 2024/25 invincible, title-winning season, Jack Day has made the decision to step down as Women's First Team Manager to take a step back from the day-to-day running of the side and further enhance the off-the-field growth of the Women's and Girls' section of Port Vale Football Club.
Speaking of the role changes, Jack Day said:
"I have made the decision to step down as First Team Manager to further focus on the recruitment and off-field growth of the women's and girls' section of Port Vale FC.
"In Dan, we have a fantastic coach who is ready to make the step up from Assistant and become our First Team Manager. Dan has done some really good work with our U18s and Reserves over the past two years and spent the majority of last season with the side, building a brilliant relationship with the squad which will bode well as we move into next season.
"I am excited to continue to work alongside Dan as Assistant Manager as we look to kick on from what was an incredible campaign last time out."
Everybody connected with Port Vale FC would like to thank Jack for his time spent as Women's First Team Manager and wish him every success in his new role with the club.
