Following ten points from a possible twelve throughout September, Darren Moore has been named as the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month.
September's unbeaten league campaign began with a 4-1 victory on the road against Newport County and was followed by a 1-0 home win against Chesterfield, a late comeback 2-2 draw against Accrington Stanley and rounded off with a 2-1 home win against Swindon Town.
Speaking of winning September's Manager of the Month award, Darren Moore said:
“I am absolutely delighted to have been awarded with this accolade, but this award is one that has been accomplished as a whole football club and not just as Darren Moore.
“From our first team staff, to our owners Carol and Kevin Shanahan, our CEO Matt Hancock, to the Academy, to Kay and Tracy who look after our players, to the cleaners, the media team, our admin staff, the stadium and grounds teams and every single member of staff behind the scenes who come together to make every working day and matchday possible, this is as much for them as much as it is for me.
“As a team on the pitch, am I happy with where we are at currently? Absolutely. Am I satisfied? Not at all because there is so much more to come from this team and we are just the beginning of an exciting journey ahead.”
