2024/25 Supporter Services Update

PV

As we gear up for the start of the 2024/25 season, we have been working hard to review and improve a number of areas across the club, and want to continue our regular communication with supporters by confirming some important changes ahead of the new campaign.

Your feedback has been invaluable, and we believe these updates will help to enhance your experience while ensuring the club's sustainability.

Ticketing with Ticketmaster

After a thorough review and tender process, we recently announced our new partnership with Ticketmaster, an industry leader headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent. This significant investment will bring several improvements to our ticketing system for next season and beyond.

Supporters can also now access and transfer tickets digitally, reducing the need for physical season ticket cards, which will be priced at £5.

Away Ticketing Booking Fee

A booking fee of £1 will be introduced for away fixtures, helping to cover the expenses incurred by the club for managing these sales. Importantly, we're pleased to confirm there will be no booking fee for season tickets or home match tickets.

We are happy to confirm matchday prices have been frozen for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.

Priority Points Scheme

Our upgraded ticketing system also allows us to make positive changes to our loyalty points offer, now renamed the Priority Points Scheme. After considering all internal and external feedback, points will be allocated as follows:

  • Home games (5 points)
  • Away games (10 points)
  • 1876 membership (30 points)
  • Season tickets (125 points)
  • Seasonal hospitality membership (175 points)

Points will accumulate over two seasons with a rolling 12-month period, replacing the previous annual reset system. Points-based release days will remain the same (Monday-Thursday), with specific point thresholds for each day.

Points from the 2023/24 season will be transferred to our new platform and you can view this online or by visiting the club store. If you have any questions regarding priority points, please contact tickets@port-vale.co.uk or by calling 01782 655 821.

The scheme will now designate games based on supporter numbers within each point segment, ensuring fair and efficient ticket allocation. Supporters can collect away tickets from 9am on the Friday of the first week of sales.

1876 Memberships will be available to purchase soon, we will update supporters as soon as they're on sale!

Matchday Programme

Over the past three seasons, the club has faced significant losses (around £30,000 per season) from the matchday programme in its current format. To address this, matchday programmes will now be reserved for special occasions, such as annual events and significant fixtures.

Due to rising production costs and the economic climate, we feel this is a necessary change and, importantly, one that was supported by the majority of those who completed our recent email survey.

We appreciate your understanding and support on these changes and look forward to seeing you at Vale Park soon.
