Port Vale FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of Alex Mighten from Nottingham Forest.
The loan deal will see the exciting 21-year-old winger remain at Vale Park until the conclusion of the 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season.
Born in Connecticut, USA, Mighten made his professional debut for Nottingham Forest in their EFL Cup fixture against Arsenal before going on to make more than 50 appearances at Championship level for The Reds.
Speaking of the loan signing of Alex Mighten, Port Vale FC's Manager, Andy Crosby, said:
“Alex is an exciting young player and I am delighted that he will be spending the remainder of the season with us here at Port Vale.
“Having spoken to him at length before he put pen to paper, it’s clear to see that he is ready to grasp this opportunity with both hands and make the most of his time at Vale Park.
“Whilst he is with us, Alex will have all of the tools he needs to make his mark and we will work with him on his development on and off the field.
“I look forward to working with him closer and seeing him excel in the environment,”
Port Vale FC's Director of Football, David Flitcroft, added:
"I am absolutely delighted to welcome Alex to Vale Park. I would like to thank Nottingham Forest for their trust with the further development of one of their exciting young players.
"He is a player that possesses standout pace and plays with an adventure that commits opposition players in wide areas of the pitch.
"He comes into the club with a lot of experience at Championship level for his age and has an incredible hunger to use that experience to push himself on and to make the most of an exciting opportunity here at Vale Park.
"We look forward to watching Alex grow both on and off the pitch throughout his time with the club and with Andy Crosby's team."
