Port Vale defender Will Forrester has won your vote for February’s Reels in Motion Player of the Month.
Forrester, 21, also won October’s award and impressed throughout February, featuring in six of the seven games Darrell Clarke’s side played during the month, scoring his first goal for the club in the 1-0 win against Exeter City. Earlier goals against Cheltenham Town and Cambridge United that had been credited to the defender were later ruled to be own goals.
Commenting on winning the award, Forrester said:
“I am delighted the supporters have voted me as the Player of the Month; to have that feedback on my performances over the course of a month is really appreciated.
“It is the first time I have played Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday regularly, which has been good for me personally to build that robustness and come through the month. I am grateful to the manager for having the faith in me and giving me the run of games in the team.
“Our expected goals against this month was really low, which shows that we have defended well but we know we have to keep more clean sheets as a unit.
“We want to take our last four performances into the rest of the season and see where we end up.”
