Three Vale legends to be welcomed onto the pitch ahead of Carabao Cup Quarter-Final

Port Vale Football Club are delighted to confirm that three of our former players will be welcomed to Vale Park as guests of honour at our Carabao Cup Quarter-Final match.

Mark Grew, Ray Walker and Bernie Slaven will all spend time with our hospitality guests as well as answering some questions in the Valiant Suite before making their way onto the Vale Park pitch ahead of kick-off of tomorrow’s game.

Community and CSR Director Matt Hancock said: “This has been in the pipeline for a few months and was originally set to happen ahead of our League Match against Leyton Orient.

“It has been something we’ve wanted to do for a while and following extensive and positive conversations with Mark Grew this will be the first of many former player appearances.

“We are looking at how we work with former players and how they can positively impact match day and non-match day activities at the Club. Working with our supporters, the Supporters Club as well as former players on what this looks like is also an important part of the programme!”

The players will be welcomed onto the pitch at approx 7:30pm.
