Port Vale is seeking to hire a Chef de partie to join the club’s catering department.
Reporting To: Executive Chef
Location: Vale Park, Stoke
Hours: To work five days out of seven, including evening shifts.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Preparation, presentation and service of food to a high standard across all aspects of the business
- Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH Requirements
- Adhere to the standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and associated areas
- Be actively involved in the management of stock and staff, alongside the senior kitchen team
- Training & supervision of junior team members
Person Specfication:
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH
- Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and have NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation and Cookery or an equivalent qualification
- Great team worker
- Good levels of communication and spoken English
- Some banqueting experience preferred
- Although not essential, applicants will also have a full clean driving license and access to their own car
