Port Vale is delighted to welcome Manager Darrell Clarke back to Vale Park.
The Gaffer is back as part of a phased return and will be supporting Interim Manager Andy Crosby and his team for the remainder of the season before taking charge again in the summer.
Darrell will also be working closely with Director of Football Dave Flitcroft to continue the progress they and their staff have made on the field this season.
They will be collaborating on projects ranging from player retention and recruitment through to the planning of the pre-season training camp and fixtures – as well as the development of the new club’s training facilities.
Mr Flitcroft said: “I know I speak for everyone at Port Vale when I say we are absolutely delighted to have Darrell back at the club and to be able to benefit again from his expertise, vast experience and the energy he brings.
“The structures we build are tested through adversity and, as a Board, we are extremely proud of the way Andy Crosby, Dean Whitehead and the First Team have built on the foundations Darrell laid, adapted to very significant challenges and put us in a fantastic position with eight regular season league games remaining.
“The process is robust and our work and planning never stops. It’s an exciting time to be involved with Port Vale Football Club and we are so grateful for the incredible support the team are receiving – home and away.
“My message to our fans is to please keep giving the players, Andy and his team your unconditional vocal support, and let’s make sure we embrace and enjoy every moment of this journey together –because we are all Vale.”
