Vacancy | Academy Administrator and Recruitment Coordinator

Applications are invited for the full time post of Academy Administrator and Recruitment Coordinator within the Port Vale Academy.

Successful applicants will ensure all aspects of Academy football administration are managed effectively and provide secretarial support for other members of the academy team. In regard to recruitment, they will assist the Head of Recruitment with the registration of potential new players, and ensure all staff follow the guidelines and processes set out in the club Recruitment Strategies.              

Applicants must:

  • Be available for daytime, evening and weekend work
  • Undertake any training relevant to the post, including ongoing CPD training
  • Be computer literate

Applicants must have:

  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Player recruitment experience
  • Ability to travel independently and a full driving license
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Excellent organisational qualities
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

Successful applicants will need to:

  • Ensure all academy player paperwork is accurately completed and submitted
  • Manage the triallist and recruitment databases, ensuring compliance with all governing body rules and regulations
  • Oversee matchday operations of the schoolboys’ games program on Sunday mornings
  • Attend and minute academy/ club meetings as directed
  • Act as the first point of contact for the academy with other clubs and stakeholders, responsible for matchday confirmation and communication.

Desirable:

  • Be experienced in working with players in an Academy environment.
  • Be familiar with the PMA and willing to input the relevant information for training and games programme
  • Previous professional academy coaching experience
  • Player recruitment experience

It is necessary to undertake any training relevant to the post, including ongoing CPD training, be trustworthy and adhere to codes of conduct, ethics and confidentiality.

The nature of the business means that there are significant variations in the level of activity; this requires the job holder to work whatever hours are needed to allow deadlines to be met.

The position is subject to a DBS at Enhanced Level, references and a six-month probationary period.
