Dan Jones has won the Reels In Motion Player of the Month award for November following an excellent month from our number three!
Dan Jones continued to display his versatility in the back line with another string of top-class performances, seeing him feature as the left-sided centre-half before moving into the middle of the back three against Charlton Athletic in our last game of the month.
It was in this final game of November where Jones’ commanding display at the back helped us to pick up a 1-0 victory over the Addicks, and he secured the supporters Player of the Match award in the process.
“It feels really good [to win the award]; I love playing in front of the fans and every time I go out on a Saturday, and Tuesday I play for the fans, so to have the recognition means a lot.” Jones told the club upon being awarded the November Player of the Month trophy.
“After the year I had last year, it means a lot; I was obviously playing a lot at the start of the season but then struggled with injuries and getting my fitness back, it is nice to be back out there, more than anything.
“The month has gone now, and we have to play for now, the Gaffer isn’t afraid to make changes, and everyone is on board with that, we have so many good players and you have to be at your best to keep your place.”
