Port Vale Football Club is delighted to confirm former Doncaster Rovers defender Danny Amos has agreed to sign for the Valiants on a short-term contract until January 2022.
Amos joins the Valiants as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with League One Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season.
The 21-year-old joined the Rovers youth team and progressed through the ranks before making his first team debut in 2016 during a 2-0 win over Mansfield Town in the EFL Trophy.
As he continued his development he featured four times for the first team the following season, making his league debut away at Oldham Athletic where he played 90 minutes in a a goalless draw.
The following season saw the left-back move to National League outfit Hartlepool United on loan in January, where he made seven appearances for Pools Monkey Hangers.
Amos made 18 appearances for Doncaster across the following two seasons until his departure from the Keepmoat Stadium and joined up with the Vale for the pre-season training camp where he impressed manager Darrell Clarke.
Clarke said: “Danny has trained with us over the past couple of weeks and we’ve been really impressed with what we’ve seen.
"He’s going to offer great competition at the back, especially in the wing-back roles."
The signing is subject to EFL and FA clearance.
