Port Vale Football Club are pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Thomas Scott from Manchester City, on a permanent deal initially until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The ex-Leeds and Manchester City youth product was most recently on trial with Championship sides Watford and Birmingham City.
20-year-old Tom will add to Vale’s goalkeeping ranks, which include No. 1 Scott Brown, Dino Visser, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a hamstring injury and Joe Collinge, Vale’s academy product who recently featured in his first matchday squad against Walsall.
Speaking on the move, Tom expressed his readiness to step up into the senior men’s game and is relishing his opportunity with the Valiants.
“I’m very happy and it will be a great experience looking to play first team football instead of Under 23’s.”
“I feel more than ready [for the step up] and I’m confident in myself and my abilities to do what I need to at this level.”
“I’m looking forward to them [Ronnie, Browny & Dino] teaching me bits and bobs and learning from the experience of them, it will be good.”
Our new shot stopper will wear the No. 32 shirt.
Welcome to the Vale, Tom!
