Port Vale Football club is delighted to announce the signing of David Fitzpatrick, after a successful trial with the club over pre-season.
The 30-year old left-back, a free agent, has signed a one-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 2021.
Fitzpatrick started his senior football career at Northwich Victoria in 2010, after spending his youth career at Stockport County.
He had a short spell at New Mills before he re-joined Northwich Victoria in December 2011, before he again made the switch to New Mills in in the summer of 2012.
In July 2013, he made the step up to National league side Southport.
After an impressive two seasons at Southport he made the move to divisional rivals Macclesfield Town in September 2015.
He spent five years at Macclesfield, where he played a big part in the club’s run to the FA Trophy final in 2017 and the club’s 2017-18 promotion from the National League into the EFL.
He made 196 appearances for Macclesfield and scored five goals in that time.
