EFL Clubs have given their support to Heads Up, the football-focused mental health campaign, following an address by the HRH The Duke of Cambridge at yesterday's EFL Club meeting.
The key principles of the Heads Up campaign are aligned with work that is already well underway through the EFL’s ground-breaking charity partnership with Mind, which began in 2018 and aims to improve the nation’s mental health and wellbeing.
EFL Clubs will now join the wider football family in supporting Heads Up in February 2020 to raise awareness and encourage conversation around mental health.
EFL Chair, Rick Parry said: “The EFL is proud of its association with Mind and aware of the impact our Clubs can have in raising awareness of such an important issue in communities nationwide.
“We are delighted to be able to extend this work in supporting a hugely significant project being led by the HRH The Duke of Cambridge in encouraging further conversation and look forward to plans being confirmed in due course.”
