After much anticipation, Port Vale's Sky Bet League Two fixtures have been revealed ahead of the 2019/20 campaign and John Askey's men will kick off the first season of a new era with a trip to Colchester United on Saturday 3rd August.
Vale then host Northampton Town at Vale Park the following weekend before there is a break in league action for the Carabao Cup First Round during the midweek.
The penultimate fixture of the season sees Newport County make the trip from South Wales to Burslem, but the Valiants face a longer journey of their own on the final day as they face Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.
Here are a list of key dates for your diary:
Saturday 3rd August 2019 - Colchester United v Vale (A)
The season begins with a trip to Essex, with Vale set to face a Colchester United side who narrowly missed out on the play-offs in Sky Bet League Two last season.
Saturday 10th August 2019 - Vale v Northampton Town (H)
Vale have fond memories of playing against the Cobblers in 2018/19, with a 2-0 victory at home followed by a 2-1 win on the road courtesy of Tom Pope's 100th goal for the club. It's Keith Curle's side who will be the first visitors to Vale Park in the new season.
Saturday 2nd November 2019 - Crewe Alexandra v Vale (A)
Every season, supporters look forward to packing out the away end at Gresty Road, and the trip there falls on the first weekend of November. Last season's away fixture left the travelling Valiants with smiles on their faces, with Leon Legge's header securing all three points.
Thursday 26th December 2019 - Mansfield Town v Vale (A)
The festive period can be a critical stage in any season, and Vale will face Mansfield Town away from home on Boxing Day.
Wednesday 1st January 2020 - Vale v Macclesfield Town (H)
Vale begin the new year at home to Macclesfield Town, and John Askey will be hoping for revenge against his former side after the Silkmen came out on top in this fixture during the 2018/19 campaign.
Saturday 28th March 2020 - Vale v Crewe Alexandra (H)
Tom Pope's 76th-minute strike separated the two teams when they locked horns at Vale Park last season, securing a double for Vale over their rivals. We wouldn't mind a repeat of that would we, Valiants?
Saturday 18th April 2020 - Vale v Newport County (H)
The home season draws to a close with a fixture against Newport County in the middle of April, and the Valiants will be determined to go one better than the goalless draw produced against the Exiles last time out.
Saturday 25th April 2020 - Plymouth Argyle v Vale (A)
Sky Bet League Two will conclude earlier than usual in 2019/20, and Vale finish the season with a long trip away to Plymouth Argyle.
