The club are pleased to announce that defender Kieran Kennedy, has agreed to sign for the Vale on a one-year deal when his contract expires at Wrexham.
Kennedy becomes John Askey's third summer signing after the additions of Scott Burgess and Adam Crookes.
The Manchester City Academy graduate arrives at the club having spent the remainder of last season at National League side Wrexham, where he made 13 appearances and scored in two.
Spells in Scotland add to Kennedy's experience and the defender is well known to Askey, having played under the gaffer in Macclesfield Town's 2017/2018 promotion season.
As Askey begins to gradually assemble his 2019/20 squad, he says he's pleased to have been able to bring the defender to Vale Park and is "looking forward to working with him again".
"He's a footballing centre half, somebody who likes to get the ball down and play. He's slightly different than the other two centre-halves that we've got so it gives us a bit of balance.
"He's got the ability, he's reasonably quick and I think he'll suit the way we want to play. He's hungry and I think that's important that he wants to come here and prove himself."
