Port Vale return to league action this weekend when they welcome Walsall to Vale Park, and a win would see the Valiants edge even closer to a play-off place. The match officials for the fixture have been confirmed and can be found below:
Andy Haines has been confirmed as the official for the Vale’s fixture against the Saddlers this weekend. Haines has taken charge of 19 fixtures so far this term, and 37 across all competitions last campaign.
Sky Bet League Two: 19 (18/19) 7 (19/20)
EFL Trophy: 2 (18/19) 4 (19/20)
FA Cup: 3 (18/19) 2 (19/20)
Sky Bet League One: 12 (18/19) 5 (19/20)
Carabao Cup: 1 (18/19) 1 (19/20)
Across the 37 matches he took charge of last season, Haines issued out a total of 103 yellow cards and four red cards, and across the 19 he has overseen this campaign, the official has given out 50 yellow cards and already three reds. It will be the first time Haines has officiated Port Vale this season, but he did take charge of the Valiants twice last term; a 2-2 draw away to Morecambe and a 2-0 away defeat to Grimsby Town.
His assistants will be Mark Cunliffe and Michael Webb with Peter Gibbons taking the role of fourth official.
