Port Vale manager John Askey has been nominated by the EFL for the League Two manager of the month award for March.
Last month saw a much needed turn of results for the club as the Vale picked up 11 points out of a potential 18. Wins included two at home in a row against Mansfield Town and Yeovil Town and a fantastic away win at Northampton to end the month.
Askey has been shortlisted after guiding the Valiants 10 points clear of the relegation zone for the results picked up last month and has completely turned Vale's fortunes around, after a difficult start to life at Vale Park.
Vale's recent form see's them sit third in the form table for the past seven games in the league.
The EFL said: "Having had his confidence shaken by an ill-fated spell at Shrewsbury and a poor start at Vale, he deserves huge respect for inspiring a turnaround at Vale Park with 11 points gained from six games to move away from trouble."
Congratualtions, gaffer! The winner will be announced on Friday.
