Port Vale face Stevenage this Tuesday night in Sky Bet League Two action, but what happened last time the two sides met?
When the Valiants visited the Lamex stadium last season, the Hertfordshire-based side ran out 2-0 victors, though Neil Aspin will be looking for a similar performance to when the Boro visited Vale Park last time out.
16th placed Steveanage travelled north to face Aspin's 18th placed Vale toward the end of the league season, and in the end nothing could seperate the sides in an eventual 2-2 draw.
It wasn't easy going for the Valiants as Stevenage put the Valiants to the sword from the off. On 10 minutes, the visitors went ahead through Luke Amos. The forward was played through by Johnathan Smith and made no mistake dispatching past Ryan Boot.
Things were made that much more difficult following the restart as Stevenage went two goals to the good with 48 minutes played. Bean Sheaf whipped in a pin perfect cross for Ben Kennedy and the Stevenage-man fired home from close range.
However, it wasn't to be for the Boro as two Port Vale goes in 12 minutes secured a point for the Burslem outfit. Donavon Wilson struck first for Aspin's side as he turned in a Luke Hannant cross to pull one back for the Vale.
Provider turned goal-scorer for Vale's second goal as Hannant set his sight from the edge of the box and curled an effort into the back of the net to complete the comeback.
The draw left Vale in 19th place in Sky Bet League Two, seven points clear of the drop zone.
