The English Football League have announced who will be officiating Port Vale’s Sky Bet League Two tie with Newport County.
Tom Nield has been chosen to be the Man in the Middle for Saturday’s tie at Vale Park with Nield formerly refereeing Vale’s 4-0 win against Luton Town.
So far this season, Nield has refereed 22 games across a number of competitions, including:
5 League One games
12 League Two games
1 FA Cup game
4 Checkatrade Trophy games
During the course of those games, Nield has given out 55 yellow cards and two reds.
He will be assisted by Richard Wigglesworth and Christopher Ward, with Richard Wild acting as fourth official.
