Yesterday afternoon the players made their annual trip down to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, delivering presents to some of the poorly children and also spent time chatting to the patients and their families around the hospital.
Captain Tom Pope and the rest of the squad first visited the Children's Centre within the hospital and distributed Port Vale merchandise and toys to young patients and their family members, before visiting other wards in the hospital to spend time with patients and staff members.
The players stopped for selfies and to chat with many people throughout the visit, and Tom Pope said it was great to spend time with everyone at the hospital.
"It was really humbling to visit everyone and we all enjoyed spending some time with the children and giving them some presents. We met some great characters who had big smiles on their faces, even when they're in a tough situation at Christmas time.
"Some children may not be home on Christmas Day, so hopefully we were able to bring it to them in a way and make their day."
